I had to work late at work today, and I wasn't expecting it. I went over to the Whole Foods on the corner at 7:30 to grab some food to keep me going, and got robbed! They charged me $10 for a side of mashed potatoes, a side of caprese and a peach! Gahhh! I won't be doing that again...

On a happy note, my big brother is coming into town this weekend! He's one of my financial heroes. Two years older, just school debt and a mortgage, and making six figures. He plays hard and saves hard. I can't wait to see him.

If you could do without something hot for dinner, a small container of hummus, a box of crackers, and that peach would probably run about $6-7. More expensive than fast food, but certainly much better for you!

You could get one of their sandwiches - freshly made such as eggplant or turkey ... those are around $7 I think. I got one of their sandwiches for $7 before leaving for the airport in Austin a few months ago - it saved me from going hungry especially since my flight was delayed.

Ack! Healthy food is much more expensive but so much better for you. I just changed my diet to include more fresh fruit and veggies and bam! my grocery bill has increased $50 more each week.
